OSNY END-OF-SEASON PARTY

Join the Zoom to celebrate the Auction and the OSNY 2020-2021 Season!

Our Virtual Live Celebration on Thursday night won’t be just any Zoom—and it won’t be just about the auction. It will be the capstone event of our most unusual 2020-2021 season.

Despite its challenges, our chorus not only held steady—it actually grew stronger. Come celebrate our grit, our loyalty, and all that we were able to achieve. And raise a glass to the future we’ll create together!

The formal program starts at 7:00 PM EDT, Thursday, June 10.
Join the Zoom as early as 6:00 PM to chat with friends.

What’s on the program?
Our master of ceremonies for the evening is OSNY President Bob Conley, who has put together an exciting evening of fun and entertainment. A few examples:

Videos both amusing and uplifting
Inspiring words from conductor Kent Tritle
Two challenging trivia sessions
Introduction to the OSNY Archives Project
Preview of our 150th Anniversary Celebration
Greetings from friends from all parts of the OSNY universe!

What happens from 6:00 to 7:00 PM?
Join the Zoom at any time beginning at 6:00 PM to chat with friends in small groups. We’ll send suggestions for cocktails (both with and without alcohol) so that we can all raise a toast together.

You’ll receive a Zoom link to the event the day of the celebration.

IMPORTANT BIDDING INFORMATION

There are three main types of auction items:

1. Highest bidder wins.

This is the most familiar type of auction item. Participants bid competitively until the auction closes, at which point the item goes to the highest bidder. Most items in the OSNY Auction are of this type.

2. First (10) bidders win.

These are items with multiple winners—from 2 to 20–who all pay the same fixed price. Look for “First (10) bidders win” at the top of the item description.

These are often virtual events, and prices are reasonable! Bidding ends automatically when all slots are filled. The challenge here is to place a bid before the item is sold out. Don’t wait until the last minute!

3. Top (10) bidders win.

These are items with multiple winners who bid competitively. They are marked in the title with the words “Top (10) bidders win.” These are mainly social gatherings with 6 to 12 people.

For these items, each successive bid goes up in small increments of $2, $3, or $5. When bidding closes, the (10) highest bidders win.

IMPORTANT: The increments are kept low to avoid a large difference between the highest and lowest bid of the final group of winners. For this reason, we don’t accept bids higher than the specified increments of $2, $3, or $5. If you go over this amount, the bid will be changed manually by an auction administrator and you will be notified by text.
